2018 begins

Firstly an update on James's cancer. The latest scans have shown that the lymphoma is back in glands in James's chest and neck. This has come as a blow as previous scans were not showing any sign of the disease. James is back in hospital for more chemotherapy but will be trying to make as many TV and track training day appearances as his health permits. He remains positive and knows you are all behind him.

Our coaches started their season with the opening two rounds of British Superbikes. Christian Iddon, Jake Dixon, Richard Cooper and Dan Linfoot all showing they have the pace to be challenging for the showdown places and championship. Unfortunately Dan is out for a few weeks having cracked a vertebrae in his neck.

Dean Harrison was out in BSB in the premier class this year warming up for the roads as was Davo Johnson showing they can run in this class with the best of our short circuit racers. Lee Johnston has been doing a lot of testing with Honda and had a visit to Japan last week to test on the Mugen. Congratulations to Lee and Christie on the arrival of their son Jesse.

Our track training days have kicked off with the first day at Mallory Park followed by 2 days at Anglesey Circuit. Numbers were low probably due to the cold and wet spring weather. We still had a good time and got great feedback from riders.

Suzuki are now coming to all our Mallory Days with John Reynolds to give our customers the opportunity to test ride the new GSX-R1000R. If you decide to buy one after a test ride they will knock the price of your training day off the cost of the bike and give you a Yoshi exhaust. These are great bikes, just ask Brad Ray, Richard Cooper or Billy McConnell !!

Our next days still have a places available you can book online, in May we have dates at Mallory, Croft and Anglesey Circuits . We are still selling bobble hats to raise funds for local cancer related charities and we have team clothing for sale. www.jameswhitham.com

I am very busy at the moment standing for Labour in the local council elections (I must add this is my political preference not James's) and I also run 2 triathlon events in May if any of you fancy a different challenge. www.pdsportsmanagement.co.uk

Davo Johnson checking out one of his group in the mirror whilst cornering. Hope to see you all soon, get booked on and come and have some fun and improve your riding with us.
Summer is coming! Drinkie
